Project
Designing a Clear and Scalable Web Experience
This project focused on designing a sub-site for a Toronto-based company, aligned with its main website, with the goal of improving content clarity, information structure, and overall usability. I defined user flows and developed a cohesive visual system to ensure a consistent and intuitive web experience across the platform.
INTRODUCTION
Overview
Over four months, I collaborated with the Arkfield team to design a sub-site aligned with their main platform. Through regular meetings, I gathered requirements and translated their needs into a structured digital experience tailored to a different area of their services. The goal was to create a distinct yet cohesive sub-site that follows the layout and visual language of the main website while addressing new content and functionalities.
BRAND APPLICATION
Logo
The project followed the client’s existing brand identity. I applied and adapted the logo across the interface, refining scale, placement, and consistency to align with the overall layout.
I also incorporated elements derived from the logo into backgrounds and visual details, extending the brand language and creating a cohesive visual system throughout the sub-site.
Typography & Color System
The typography and color system were intentionally minimal to reflect the tone of the existing brand. Inter was selected for its clarity and readability across digital interfaces.
A neutral palette of black, white, and gray was used to maintain consistency with the main platform, reinforce visual hierarchy, and create a clean and structured user experience.

Challenge
One of the main challenges was working within the constraints of an existing platform. As the sub-site needed to remain aligned with the main website, there was limited flexibility to introduce structural changes or significantly improve certain usability aspects.
Balancing consistency with the main platform while identifying opportunities for improvement required careful decision-making. Working with a real client added another layer of complexity, but through clear communication and rationale, proposed design improvements were often well received and implemented.

Understanding Requirements
Collaborated with stakeholders to understand business goals, content requirements, and platform constraints. This phase focused on identifying key needs and defining the scope of the sub-site in alignment with the main platform.
02 Define
Information Architecture
Defined the information architecture by organizing content into clear sections and establishing hierarchy. This helped structure the content in a way that improves navigation and usability.
